JUAN TAMARIZ

Juan Tamariz Martel born in Madrid october 18 of 1942. 

Tamariz belong to generation of the 60’ of the School of Magic of Madrid. His teacher and friend Arturo de Ascanio, said he is an magic bohemian and excellent actor. 

When He was a child of four or five years old he wanted to be a magician, he don’t know why but this was inside of him, and he asked his father for a magic set. 

He had studied cinema and in 1961 he studies in the university of Physical Sciences while he perform in festivals and in television.

In 1962 it gets the second prize in the National Magic Congress of Zaragoza of humorous magic and the third prize in Cartomagia.

In 1964 the SEI grants him a scholarship for the International Congress of Barcelona.

In 1968 it gets in the first contest of Madrid the Ace of Cartomagia, the Ace of Magic and the Extraordinary Prize (These last two prizes got it next to its inseparable friend magician Juan Antón)

He achieved what he had set out to do when he win the First Prize in the Fism. He is the best magician of Spanish and he has a thorough knowledge of magical art and he has a great magic talent.
